Storm Damage Spurs R&R Construction to Expand into Southwest Florida

Southeast Florida based R&R Construction of Florida has heard from insurance industry adjusters that commercial businesses are having trouble getting Florida licensed and certified general contractors, labor, and material in the Hurricane Ian impact area of Southwest Florida.

“Our team thinks we can help,” said Richard Carfagna, president of R&R Construction. “Since our team includes the former president of DiVosta Homes, Glen Trotta, we think we can implement the DiVosta operations model that Southwest Florida business owners are familiar with, by staging material in Southeast Florida, bring it daily to the job sites in the areas from North Port to Naples and surrounding areas, and complete the work that businesses need.

Most of the local contracting resources are servicing residences and there’s not enough left over to help businesses.

“That’s where we come in,” said Richard. “DiVosta used to stage and pre-build construction material in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on the east coast and ship it daily to Southwest Florida to build communities and businesses. We can do the same from Boca Raton on a smaller scale but enough to make an impact. The beauty of it is, we can get the material here on the east coast and it’s just a two-to-three-hour drive to bring the material and crews to do the work and provide relief for businesses still hurting eight months after the storm.”

“Let’s focus on commercial clients,” said Richard. “We’ll get those businesses back up and running.”
